Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Last Friday meeting agenda was to discuss and form the team for the year 2009-10.

Friends At the outset I must Thank all the members along with our past Presidents for helping me form a vibrant and dynamic team - the TEAM 910. I am truly encouraged by the pro-active initiative of our members to lead our club along with me during the coming year. We have almost finalised the list of the Office Bearers and the same will be mailed shortly.

During the meeting our PP.Rtn. Usha Medina spoke about a Home for the Aged in the Malakshmi Layout area. She had visited the place and expressed the need to support the home to our best possible capacity. Most of our members contributed in cash to provide the groceriies. Rtn. Raghuver offered to provide cooking gas for them every month. All of us felt, the need to support this cause on a regular basis. It was also decided that the club should plan to visit the Home one of these days to talk to the inmates and also to explore the possibilities of supporting the home which could be a good Community Service Project for our club.

On behalf of our club President I thank all those who pitched in to contribute to support this Old age home.

Friends, we are also planning a get-together shortly. Rtn. Raghuveer ( 98450 36772) and Rtn. Sanjay Krishna ( 9740012001) are working on the plan. Please contact them with your suggestions and participation. Its summer time lets picnic.

Thank you all once again.

Regards
Rtn. Rajesh Kunder
Prez Elect

Proceedings of 2009, Feb, 06 (Sadashivanagar Club)

This week meeting was held at the Sadashivnagar Club. The meeting opened with a debate entitled "Individual time and space a must for a married". Moderated by Mr. Shankar Subramanian, two teams started with a slow tempo. What initially seemed like a simple topic turned into a heated debate. Both the teams made their points in very multifarious arguments. The color of the debate moved from one to another into a spectrum of topics ranging from "Deities and their business" to "Woman's position int Indian Social context" to "Women's Lib.".

In fact both the team made their points so very well that the debate ended in a draw. Yes you guessed it right! Both the teams had a lawyer each. Rtn. Bharath and Rtn. Sanjay teamed up to face Rtn. Suhail and Rtn. Vidya's team. Finally the moderator Mr. Shankar Subramanian moved his focus to the audience for their inputs. Rtn. Milind concluded in a very subtle way by expressing that the relationship moves from one peak to another peak and cannot operate as black or white. Yes, it's gray.

Then moderator Mr. Shankar, summarized with emphasis on de-cluttering the personal space to accommodate the newness of life.

After the debate the club president Rtn. Kirti Mehta talked about celebration venue for our club day (which falls on the 12th Feb 2009) celebrations will be on 13th Feb 2009 for convinience. The venuve was unanimously decided as RMV club terrace. On the club day President Rtn. Dileep and the members of our Rotaract Club Precidency college will be joining us in the celebrations.

President also requested the members to register for the forth comming District Conference on the 21st & 22nd of Feb 2009, particularly the new Rotarians, so that they can experience the exposure of fellow Rotarians at District level. The registration per member is Rs.1200/- which will include breakfast, lunch and dinner both the days and a wrist watch as momento. Dont miss !! its a great opportunity to network in Rotary.

As usual the session ended with National Anthem.
